Equipping Christian Leaders
J. Evangalin Jeba Golda
India, by Allahabad Bible Seminary
From my childhood I was involved in children's ministry with my family. With my father, mother, uncle, and aunt on Sunday evenings, we used to go do village ministry. During my college days, I was involved in youth ministry. I studied in a Christian college, but we saw more people from other religions studying there. It was a Christian college so there was freedom for sharing the Gospel. So Christian people who were in my college used to join in a group and we used to visit classes in lunch time for sharing the Gospel. Then we were involved in street preaching inside the campus. We used to have a lot of spiritual meetings which encouraged us to this ministry in our college for two years.
John Lorogoi Ekadeli
Kenya, by Africa Theological Seminary
I am pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology. Training at ATS has enabled me to grow in the knowledge of God and relationship with Christ. I have initiated training on Disciple Makers and church planters (2Tim.2:2). As a result, I have equipped and disciple 15 of them who are very active in reaching out and discipling others in the three churches we have planted together. My goal indeed is to make, equip and send believers to multiply disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I am enrolled at Bethlehem Bible College (BethBC) because I have a passion to serve God in my community. After coming to faith in Jesus, my desire to know Him more and more increased. BethBC has opened doors for me to further my knowledge and understanding of the Word of God through my studies. Through my studies, I realized that I have a future desire to serve in women’s ministry or even in the field of teaching. I am thankful for the ability to study and minister all the while also raising my four children alongside my husband. I give thanks for the amazing work that the Lord is doing in my family, my future ministry and in our community.
Ihor Brodin
Ukraine, by Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary
I have enrolled in Transformative Leadership master’s program to be able to continue my ministry of a military chaplain in the Armed Forces of Ukraine more effectively. With the war ongoing in Eastern Ukraine for more than six years, the human cost of the conflict is growing, emotional and spiritual traumatization is deepening, a number of factors which cause post-traumatic stress disorder as well as the suicide rate among demobilized Ukrainian soldiers is increasing. The mentioned above yet again stresses the need for competent army chaplains. So, I believe that this is my calling from the Lord to help smooth all consequences of the war for those in fight and work with war veterans back at home. I am also convinced that military chaplaincy will develop further in Ukraine, with UETS playing an important role in training ministers for the army.

Hristo Toshkov Hristov
Bulgaria, by Saint Trivelius Christian Institute
I grew up in a Christian family and was going regularly to church, but couldn’t see God in both my life and in the life of most people around me, so I went away from God and the church. After I finished high school I was approached by my cousin, who invited me to join a Bible study group in Scripture Union, where I came to know many Christians my age. There I gave my life to Christ and began serving Him among youths. I believe my calling is to help the youths know Christ and give over their life to Him, so I have begun this university course to help me achieve this calling.

Faustulus Adawa
Congo - Kinshasa, by Shalom University of Bunia
I grew up in an area where tobacco is grown for export and people are often more interested in money than in God. None of my six brothers or sisters believe in Jesus, so it is really by God’s grace that I believed. I worked as a salesman for a year but felt I was wasting my time because I had to go to Seminary. I am greatly blessed by the theological training I am receiving so I can explain the Bible well. I look forward to the day when I can impact the young people of Congo for Christ.

Since I started my training in theology, I have been learning notions that have given me a better understanding of Christianity and its implications. I feel myself revived and brought to a better understanding of the scriptures which gives me a very great and deep desire to speak of God to the people in my country. After my graduation, I will be expected to be admitted as a pastor so that I could make good use of the knowledge I would have been given throughout this years of training.
Lama Khoury
Jordan, by Program for Theological Education by Extension
I always went to church and tried to be a good person, but still I was living a life of sin by lying, gossiping, and being angry. In 2016, Jesus touched my heart and I began a personal relationship with Him. Now when I pray, I always say ‘let it be Your will, not mine’ and I thank God for His answers. Now I serve God out of love, not duty. My goal is to become a Bible teacher for women and I study Certificate of Ministry courses with PTEE because if I want to teach, I must learn.

My faith has been tested and tried through my studies it has strengthened me while at seminary as I have experienced the Lords transforming grace , providence and protection. In all I have experienced in 2019 I can say without hesitation God has been the constant presence and refuge especially in my time of grief. When i felt like quitting God put people in my path to encourage me. From faculty to fellow students God uses them all for one purpose and I have come to realize that both academically and spiritually it is all part of my preparation. My studies has helped my growth and i am confident of my future ministry being carried out with excellence. I am looking forward to going back to my community and serving God by serving them especially the youth. Most of all i want to follow my call and i pray that God provides those opportunities once I graduate so I can effectively serve Him.
Ron Ratnaraja
Sri Lanka, by Colombo Theological Seminary
When I felt the call to enter full-time ministry, being the son of a pastor, I did know about the Word of God at that point. However, it was only when I started to study at Colombo Theological Seminary that I began to understand this Word and teach it more accurately to the groups that I minister to (especially the youth). Throughout the years, I have witnessed many great things that God has been doing over my life, ministry, and studies at CTS. My plan is to graduate with a BTh and to serve the Lord as a pastor.
Eyerusalem Negash
Ethiopia, by Evangelical Theological College
I gave my life to the Lord through the radiant love I witnessed at a wedding. My father found out and stopped me from going to church. I continued my life as a captain to a national girl’s football team until I broke my ankle and lost my fame and friends. Later, I rededicated my life to the Lord, got healed, met my husband and became a mother of two children. I joined ETC to equip myself in the Word of God so that I can minister to young girls who are searching for the truth and empower them to grow towards the life God has predestined for them.

Izabella Szafraniec
Poland, by Evangelical School of Theology (EWST)
As I have grown in my ministry (missionary and Kids in Ministry Poland). While teaching others I realized that I needed more knowledge in order to be better prepared. The courses offered in the theological program at EWST undoubtedly translate into a new value of pastoral and spiritual care and they can give it the right direction and broader perspective. Thanks to the practical aspect of the program, the new knowledge can be applied in ministry. In my case it is very important, and this is why I chose a theological program with practical training.

Ophelia Ami
Ghana, by Good News Theological Seminary
Theological education at Good News Theological Seminary has been so helpful. It has taught me know how to preach, learn church growth strategies and principles, keep the members of my church and do rural and urban ministry. When I graduate, I plan to train women, particularly, wives of Pastors, to be effective counselors of women and children. Building a retreat center where women who are broken-hearted, single mothers, and women who are planning to begin para-church ministries could come and receive direction and counseling is my long-term dream.

Tharushi Perera
Sri Lanka, by Lanka Bible College and Seminary
I’m a student at Lanka Bible College and Seminary. I’m currently doing my diploma in Theology and my life has changed immensely. I used to be involved in ministry prior to joining the seminary but I only did it for the sake of doing it but the experience and education I’ve gained from the seminary has given me a deep desire for children’s ministry. I’m now committed to my ministry and after my education here I want to help emotionally neglected children find hope in Christ. I’ve been through it and I understand their struggles and pain.
Haroun Eldaw Kodi Aburigaba
Lebanon, by Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS)
The Lord touched my heart during a youth conference when I was 17. The preacher prayed with me and anointed me with oil. When I returned to my seat, I could not stop myself from jumping with the rest as tears of joy streamed down my face. This experience changed my life, and I felt called to help others have this experience too, so I began to serve with outreach teams. I want to study the Bible to interpret God’s Word well, to understand God’s will so that I can spread the gospel in a way that pleases God.
Sam Peter
India, by New India Bible Seminary
I joined the Master of Theology program in Pastoral Theology and Counseling at NIBS in June 2019, at the age of 39. Prior to my joining, I worked as a Bible teacher for 11 years and as a local pastor for three years. My specific calling in ministry is among the poor and tribal people in the most unreached places and I have dedicated myself for that. Older generation in these communities need hope and help in daily living, while kids and youth are desperate for care, counseling and direction. This is what God is calling me into.

I can say that during my studies I notice that my character changes for the better. My relationships with my unbelieving family improved. It is also easier for me to witness other people about Christ because I am more confident in my faith and I have more knowledge to share. After the graduation I would like to serve Him even more in the areas, God leads me to. I would like to be sensitive to His voice and answer His Call for me.
